Enjoy a complimentary dinner at the Front Porch Mexican Restaurant, hosted by Dana's Mother, Mary Ellen Price. We've become regulars at this local restaurant, not only for the authentic Mexican dishes and excellent vegetarian options, but also for the local bluegrass bands that play here every Friday and Saturday nights. In fact, we have to make reservations to eat here because the band's following packs the house every Saturday! We are excited to share our experience with you and support this local business. And around here, "local" means a lot. In fact, when Aline Guzman first opened her restaurant, she was visited by a group of supporters from the Sunset Gap Community Center, many of whom still come to eat regularly, one being Dianne Levy, who is graciously hosting our wedding and reception in her backyard. We plan on introducing you to this wonderful woman a bit later.

BYOB in a brown bag (unfortunately, wine & liquor is not allowed -- welcome to the south!) You can buy beer at Webb's Market, further south on Hwy 321, about 5 miles, or in Newport on Cosby Hwy/ 321/ 32 at the By-lo Grocery between Walmart and Hwy 40 on the west side traveling southbound or right side traveling from the highway at exit 435. Don't worry, once your here, it'll make sense. And we'll have plenty of wine and rum at the wedding reception ;)

Be sure to enjoy the experience to the full extent possible by reading their story at: http://thefrontporchrestaurant.blogspot.com/

It is spring time in the Smokies! Enjoy the latest photographs from our most recent hikes. Dana is an excellent photographer.
